A historic and inspiring place for pilgrims, hikers, and cyclists. Our inn is located on the old Roman road in the village of Anthien, in the hamlet of Le Chemin, 25 km from Vézelay, at the crossroads of several pilgrimage routes.
Formerly L’Esprit Du Chemin, a pilgrim’s house for the journey
Gîte Pelerin Le Chemin was formerly known as L’Esprit Du Chemin and was founded by Arno and Huberta. Along with many volunteers, they transformed this beautiful old inn into the wonderful place it is today. After a day on the Camino, it’s a wonderful place to come home to. You’ll receive a warm welcome and a freshly prepared meal, which we’ll enjoy together at a long table. There are also several bedrooms with plenty of privacy.

The hostel is run for and by pilgrims who do so entirely voluntarily through donations. This is a contribution according to their means, as is the tradition of many pilgrimage routes. This way, the place remains accessible to everyone who is on the journey.
